Ken Roby is a seasoned maritime professional, having embarked on his nautical journey at the age of 16 as a trainee seaman aboard tankers. Demonstrating a lifelong commitment to the maritime industry, Ken qualified as a Master Mariner in 2006. Over the course of 24 years, he gained extensive experience working on a diverse range of vessels worldwide, including tankers, Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs), construction vessels, cable ships, and jack-up vessels.
Transitioning from life at sea to a land-based career, Ken has spent 18 years in various managerial roles, primarily in Aberdeen. His expertise spans ship management, crewing, and marine consultancy, with a focus on oil and gas as well as renewable projects globally.
In 2019, Ken joined Bibby as the Fleet Operations Manager, bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to enhance the company’s operational excellence. With his vast expertise in maritime operations, Ken continues to contribute significantly to the industry.
