As a Head of Business Development – Offshore Energy you will be responsible for driving the growth aspirations of our Walk-to-Work (W2W) business by creating and nurturing relationships with clients in not only major developers/operators across all aspects of the Energy sector but also within the major turbine OEMs and T1/T2 EPIC contractors.

With ambition to deliver at least three more new-build eCSOVs into full operation by the turn of the decade, this role involves identifying and developing opportunities for not only our current fleet, but for those vessels we plan to build.

 

Responsibilities as a Head of Business Development – Offshore Energy

  • Drive growth of our Walk-to-Work (W2W) business by building and maintaining strong client relationships across the Energy sector, including developers, operators, turbine OEMs, and EPIC contractors.
  • Identify and develop commercial opportunities for both our existing fleet and planned new-build eCSOVs, supporting our ambition to launch three more vessels by 2030.
  • Lead business development efforts to expand market presence and secure long-term partnerships within offshore energy.
  • Utilize maritime and offshore energy sector expertise to position Bibby Marine as a key player in sustainable vessel solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align commercial strategies with industry trends and client needs.

As our Head of Business Development – Offshore Energy you will have:

  • Experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role, ideally within offshore energy or a similar sector.
  • Knowledge of the Offshore Renewables and/or Oil & Gas industries, including market trends and key stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • A proactive and resilient approach, with the ability to navigate long sales cycles and drive results.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strategic mindset with a keen eye for identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to build and strengthen client relationships.
  • Relevant professional experience or education in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (formal qualifications are valued but not essential).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and business development tools (e.g., Miller Heiman) is a plus.
