Accommodation barges
Oil and gas
From large liquefied natural gas projects to shorter-term oil rig upgrades, we’ve supported oil and gas projects around the world. These projects often take place alongside the shore so our accommodation barges are an ideal solution, taking advantage of existing berthing and landing facilities. Read our successful charter case-studies with clients such as Chevron, BP and Petrofac.
Shipyards
We’ve provided swift and cost-effective accommodation for temporary workforces across a number of shipyards. With simple berthing and utility hook-ups our units are the perfect solution for instant accommodation. Our flexible facilities are ideal for projects requiring varying worker capacities and standards. Take a look at case study of our charters at Bergen Yards, to see how we’ve provided solutions for shipyard projects.
Engineering, Procurement and Construction
We understand the requirements for engineering, procurement and construction projects can fluctuate throughout the projects lifespan. Our floating barges offer a flexible solution with the option to increase capacity during peak phases by changing room configurations.
Nuclear
Nuclear projects are usually situated in remote locations, with little or no accommodation. We can support the building of a new power station or assist with shut-down projects. We understand the environmental sensitivities around these industries through our vast experience. You can read more about our successful contracts at Ringhals nuclear power station here.
Mining
Mining projects often have limited land available but with Bibby Marine floating barges there’s no need to worry about land space for your worker accommodation. Our barges offer a flexible and cost-effective alternative to land camps that can be located close to the marine offloading site.
Walk to Work vessels
Oil and gas
Our SOV’s safely transport workers to oil and gas rigs which are in remote locations such as the Southern North Sea, covered in our Total case study below. Additionally we provide transport access methods (combined with the WaveMaster) such as gangways, daughter crafts and a helipad.
Offshore Wind/Renewables
The WaveMaster vessels also sail in wind farms and allow easy access to wind turbines. They can withstand various weather conditions and ensure safe crew transfer.
