Nigel Quinn, Chief Executive Officer
Nigel joined Bibby Marine after previous CEO roles from within the Bibby Line Group of companies. Nigel held prior senior roles within global operating companies such as General Electric, Algeco & Ashtead Group. He has previous experience in the off-shore Oil & Gas sectors along with extensive experience in the exciting OSW and renewables markets in a Marine shipping and Geo-science capacity.
Bibby Marine provides engineering services to offshore wind, oil and gas, third party crewing and vessel management, and floating accommodation to major projects worldwide. The fleet includes the award-winning Bibby WaveMaster service operations vessels, and the team is also leading cutting edge zero carbon research for the maritime sector in partnership with MarRI-UK and the UK Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult.
Bibby Marine is a subsidiary of Bibby Line Group – a diverse, £800 million global business, operating in 16 countries, employing 4,000 people in sectors including retail, financial services, distribution, marine and construction equipment hire.
Howard Hughes, Technical and Operations Director
Howard Joined Bibby Marine as Technical and Operations Director in 2012, having previously held similar Directorships with Bibby Ship Management Ltd and Bibby Offshore Ltd from 2006.
Howard’s journey with Bibby started as an Engineering Cadet, followed by a seagoing career of over 20 years, during which he sailed as Chief Engineer on LPG, Petroleum and Product tankers. He ‘came ashore’ in the 1990’s to continue his maritime career with Bibby and has held numerous management positions from Repair Manager to General Manager before accepting the position of Technical Director in 2006. During his time as a Director, Howard has been responsible for the operation of many types of vessels – including DSVs, Survey Vessels, Ro-Ros, Oil tankers, Accommodation barges, and now Windfarm SOVs.
Howard currently heads the Technical, Operations, HSEQ and Crewing functions for the Company.
Howard is qualified as a Chief Engineer Officer (III/2) unlimited.
Johnathan Lewis, Non Executive Member
Jonathan joined Bibby Line Group as Chief Financial and Strategy Officer in July 2019 and has strong expertise in corporate finance and strategy built up across consulting, investment banking and corporate roles in a broad range of industry sectors.
Previously, Jonathan was Chief Financial Officer for Imagination Technologies, a leading global semiconductor IP company. Prior to this, Jonathan headed up Tesco’s global M&A team, was a leader in McKinsey’s Corporate Finance practice working across Europe, and an investment banker at Lazard.
Jonathan holds an MA (1st Class Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Cambridge University and is married with two twin boys.
